Today cellphones are carrying that 'simple tracking device'; tomorrow it could be something else. Although the article suggests that this new technology is primarily for parents who wish to keep a leash on their children, it could be used for other purposes. The US government is already tapping phone lines, and now one has the option to track a person's whereabouts, without his/her knowledge. How much are we going to allow our privacy to be constantly invaded? If technologies such as this are already available, how many more restraints can we possibly have on our personal lives?
